THEATRE

This is not a simple theatre class but a ‘project’. Since the beginning of civilization on the planet, the theatre has always fascinated and it still has a great fascination for humanity. This is due to its ritual aspect (men have always needed rites), its communication aspect, and because of the possibility it offers to express an internal state that is sometimes removed or repressed. For these reasons we created this class as an experience lived in a group, aiming to teach theatrical techniques and, above all, offering an opportunity to get in touch with yourself, to feel and express one or more of the existing sub-personalities that enrich ourselves. To this end, the teacher of this class, the director Adele Caprio, in the course of a twenty-year career in show business has also brought to bear her studies in the field of psychology. The subjects of the class are the classic subjects that are the foundation of the theory and the practice of theatre: theatre history, directing and scenery, acting, expressive movement, voice techniques and improvisation. Improvisation is indeed the main subject of our class because it is a powerful technique, one that is capable of evoking our past experiences and recreating them in a creative way.

The first level lasts for six months, in meetings that last for two hours once a week. At the end we will evaluate the degree of growth of the group and discover the talents that are sometimes unknown even to the students themselves. If the affinity of the group is judged to be sufficient, we will move on to a practical level, at which point we will stage the ‘project’ that the group has worked to create, and for this we need three more months of work.

Minimum number of applicants is 6, maximum is 20.
